In southwestern Tanzania lies Ruvuma, a region named for the Ruvuma river that flows down Tanzania’s southern border with Mozambique. Farmers in Ruvuma have been producing high quality coffee for years but its remoteness and poor infrastructure has made it difficult to get those coffees to market.
Ruvuma is sourced from smallholder farmers cultivating coffee in some of Tanzania’s highest altitude growing areas in the Ruvuma region. We are very excited to feature this coffee as it has very interesting flavors notes at such an affordable price point. In the cup, this coffee has a beautiful fresh and lively acidity presenting itself as watermelon and blueberry. These wonderful fruit flavors are refreshing, sweet, and slightly tart without being overwhelming.
Expect flavor notes of watermelon, blueberry, and fresh herbs. This is a light roast, best for filter coffee.
