Our partner farm Tres Rosa’s has now added the washed process to their repertoire!

We are seeing an increase in cup quality for this year’s harvest season because Tres Rosa’s has now purchased a well-tuned mechanical de-pulper and is now fully utilizing this instead of their time and labor consuming hand-cranked, manual de-pulper. 

The time savings of this upgrade has allowed Tres Rosa’s farm to also implement other more laborious processing protocols such as this new flavor: Lactic Washed. 

The de-pulped coffees with the mucilage intact are first wet fermented in a lactic solution for 24 hrs and then thoroughly washed. The beans are then dried on raised beds for 12-15 days.

This new coffee boasts flavors of florals, brown sugar, and red apple.
